Drug Uses
Dovonex Cream is indicated for the treatment of plaque psoriasis.
How Taken
Apply a thin layer of Dovonex Cream to the affected skin twice daily and
rub in gently and completely.
Warnings/Precautions
Use of Dovonex Cream may cause transient irritation of both lesions and
surrounding uninvolved skin. If irritation develops, you should discontinue
using Dovonex Cream. Do not use this medication for any disorder other than
that for which it was prescribed.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time
of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not double the dose to catch up.
Possible Side Effects
Some of the most frequent side effects that may occur while using Dovonex
Cream are: skin irritation, rash, pruritus, dermatitis and worsening of
psoriasis.
Storage
Store at controlled room temperature 15°C - 25°C (59°F - 77°F). Do not
freeze.
Overdose
Topically applied Dovonex Cream can be absorbed in sufficient amounts to
produce systemic effects. If an overdose is suspected, discontinue Donovex
Cream and seek medical attention.
More Information
This medication is to be used only as directed by your physician. It is for
external use only. Avoid contact with the face or eyes. As with any topical
medication, you should wash your hands after application. Report to your
physician any signs of adverse reactions.
